From USCIS: Information for Adoptive Parents of Paroled Haitian Orphans

Today, the U.S. Department of Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) released a frequently asked questions document for adoptive parents of children adopted through humanitarian parole in the wake of the earthquake in Haiti.  The document explains the process of how to obtain U.S. citizenship and legal permanent resident status for children who have arrived from Haiti.

Ethica urges adoptive parents to follow these instructions as quickly as possible and to contact USCIS with any questions they may have about this process.  Citizenship is an important part of the adoption process, and one that should be procured for all children adopted by U.S. citizens.
