A Grand Forks couple is scheduled for trial June 8 on four federal counts of fraud involving a Texas adoption service and a local welfare agency.Amy Petrick, also known as Amy Galloway, and Jesse Hutchinson could face more than 60 years in prison if convicted.
Authorities accuse the couple of being involved in a scheme to defraud aspiring adoptive parents through a San Antonio-based adoption service.
The couple also are accused of defrauding Grand Forks County Social Services assistance programs.
They have been released on their own recognizance pending trial. A telephone listing for the couple could not immediately be found.
